Student Life

The academic year outside the classroom.

Attendance at lectures is required, and alongside it the year carries a full calendar of moots, guest lectures, court visits, legal aid work and cultural activity.

Moots

Moot Court Practice

Internal practice rounds and memorial drafting sessions held regularly through the year, with students argued down by faculty acting as the bench before they go to inter-college competitions.

Lectures

Guest Lectures from the Bar

Our college regularly arranges lectures on various laws and amendments to laws to enhance students' practical knowledge and keep them updated with current legal reforms.

Culture

Youth Festival & Cultural Events

Our students take part in the Gujarat University Youth Festival and have returned with several awards. The Cultural Committee runs events on campus through the academic year.

Visits

Court & Educational Visits

Organised visits to courts and legal institutions so that students see procedure, filing and hearings first-hand rather than reading about them.

Service

Legal Aid & Awareness

The Legal Aid Committee involves students in awareness work and assistance for people in the surrounding area who cannot afford advice, which is also how students first meet real facts and real clients.

Work

Internships

The Internship Committee helps students find placements with advocates and chambers from early in the course, building practical exposure over three years.

Governance

College Committees

Every area of student life is the responsibility of a named committee with faculty in charge, so a student always knows whom to approach.

Visit the campus before you apply.
