Is Mahatma Gandhi Law College approved by the Bar Council of India?

Yes. The Three-year LL.B. programme is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), and the College is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. The degree is awarded by Gujarat University, so graduates are eligible to enrol with a State Bar Council and practise.

How do I apply for admission?

Admission is made through the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal, and the dates follow the GCAS schedule announced by the State each year. If you are stuck on the form, call 98988 87981 .We take applicants through the process every season.

What is the eligibility for the LL.B. programme?

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university, as per Gujarat University and BCI norms. Graduates from arts, commerce, science and engineering backgrounds are all eligible to apply.

How much are the fees?

The College deliberately keeps its fees among the more affordable LL.B. programmes in Ahmedabad, and every fee is stated in writing at the time of admission, with no additional charges during the course. For the current year's fee structure, call 98988 87981.

Does the college actually hold moot court practice?

Yes, and it is what the College is built around. The Moot Court Committee runs practice rounds, memorial drafting sessions and internal competitions through the academic year, not once annually. There is a dedicated moot court hall on campus with a bench, bar and lectern.

The College is at 6th Floor, Ayushman Plaza, Opp. G.E.B Station, Nr. Vitthal Plaza, Naroda, Ahmedabad – 382330. Visitors are welcome Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and no appointment is needed. Ask to see the library and the moot court hall, and to meet a faculty member.

Yes. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled throughout, so students can use online legal research, judgments and databases across the computer lab, library and classrooms.

What is the medium of instruction?

Both English and Gujarati. Students who have studied in Gujarati medium are able to follow the course comfortably here.
